When your pet isn't feeling well, waiting days for lab results isn't always an option. That's why we keep a full diagnostic laboratory right here in our hospital, so we can run the tests your pet needs and start acting on the answers the same day.
Our in-house lab handles a wide range of tests, including complete blood count, serum biochemistry, electrolytes, ear swab cytology, urinalysis, viral and bacterial SNAP tests, and vaginal cytology, with most results ready in a matter of minutes.
That speed matters most when time is tight. In an emergency, waiting on outside lab results simply isn't an option: having answers in minutes instead of hours or days lets us start treatment sooner and keep your pet's condition from getting worse while we wait. Even outside of emergencies, quick results mean fewer trips back and forth and a faster path to figuring out what's actually wrong.
Some specialized tests still need to go to an outside laboratory, and for those, we have regular arrangements in place to send samples out and get results back as quickly as possible.
